Our Story

Elora May Horsley was born on April 22nd, 2016. In late summer of 2017, our world was shattered when Elora was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer. She fought it for 3 months before she finally passed the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday. The community surrounded our family with love and support by putting up thousands of Christmas lights in Elora's honor. Now every year we celebrate Elora's life and bring awareness to childhood cancer by putting up the lights again.

“Curing childhood cancer is the equivalent of curing breast cancer in terms of productive life years saved.”

— DR. Eugenie Kleinerman, Head of the Division of Pediatrics at Children’s Cancer HOspital at m.D. Anderson Cancer Center

Our Mission

Our foundation supports research into cures for Pediatric Brain Cancers and strives to bring communities together to help children affected by cancer. We do this by fundraising through our annual events and raising awareness. We believe in choosing to remember the light.
